“At one magical instant in your early childhood, the page of a book—that string of confused, alien ciphers—shivered into meaning. Words spoke to you, gave up their secrets; at that moment, whole universes opened. You became, irrevocably, a reader.” –Alberto Manguel

Mercurial Fluctuations

Hey.. Peeps.. :) So.. Valentines week, eh? How’s it going? Yeah, as if y’all have got all the time in the world to express here. Well, that’s not what I am gonna write about today. I just wanted to start this post and what could be better than V-day, kinda to grab attention you know. Okay, how many of you came across the post on facebook that had a road sign saying sex in block letters and then it explains –“oops sorry, it was to grab your attention. Just file your tax before deadline.” Ah, that’s funny.  Well, I tweeted last week – “Kiss if you are in love, don't just stain somebody's skin with a layer of saliva.” Here’s how it looks on profile. Did I just try to demonstrate that I actually tweeted? Well, whatever.

Funny! Well, how many other emotions world has explored? We all know about –fine, happy, sad, tormented, scared, excited, anxious, lonely (mind am not saying alone), overwhelmed, blessed, loved, irritated, frustrated, nervous. Well, how about if I say –idiosyncratically damaged, eccentrically charged, elusively available, psychopathically emotional, disastrously affectionate –extremes right. Well, sometimes I want things to be extreme –black or white and no greys.

So I believe we all go through mood fluctuations, love to call it mercurial fluctuations. How moods can change –with a thought, touch, voice, or any tangible or intangible thing. So many times it’s ludicrous. People pretend they accept it, but actually they hate it and never want to be around you. Truth is, when you enjoy being yourself –people enjoy being with you. I mean who doesn’t love the one who is having a great sense of humor and is spreading laughter. We all need that, desperately –ain’t we? Sometimes, one setback is enough to suck the happiness out of you and dismiss all the possibilities. We all face those unfair bouts of sentimental insights, over think and multiply it beyond limit. Well, I sometimes believe there’s nothing called limit. Limits are man-made boundaries to prove human absurdity.

People are doing fine, world’s doing fine. People cry, move on, learn to laugh again and that’s how they make living. The one, who laughs the most, holds the deepest sorrow untold. People are so witty, pretty good actors to hide emotions –they’ll go busy and never make troubles the nucleus of the agony. But, then there are people to validate your fake ones and go along with acceptance just to not disappoint you. Ah, closeness is scary. Happiness is a warm puppy. –Quoted, Charles M. Schulz and I believe it’s true. I believe all the emotions are valuable, and must be experienced. To live is to overcome the fear of experiencing pain and embrace joy. Be you, who has to accept you will accept you with your alternate moods and madness, the one who is not supposed to won’t even if you are million times sober. To lose being you is the greatest loss and when you try to re-creation yourself you get the replacement of it –you've subscribed for. Be you! Signing out, may God bless y’all.. :)

  1. Touching..so true....sometimes I wish my country to be less populated....less people around, less chaos....more empty streets...more of me with myself....and less of fake masks around...lesser pretending,treachery,chaos....but sadly that's not what exists....and very much true that those laughing the most hide the deepest sorrow untold...............they laugh because they could never find a shoulder that could be trusted upon..sometimes I feel it's all needlessly artificial....people wearing masks that never needed to be put on....so restless is poor man that it takes an entire life-span to realize the futility of artificialness....the realization that they perhaps completely forgot to live their true themselves.......maybe old-age is not such a bad time to live.....maybe oldness has more to do with the mind than the body.

    1. True, I wish things were much real. I wish, we all were accepted as we are, I wish people are nice to each other, they love people n use things not vice-versa. I wish trust is easy to find. I wish there is nothing fake. :)
