“At one magical instant in your early childhood, the page of a book—that string of confused, alien ciphers—shivered into meaning. Words spoke to you, gave up their secrets; at that moment, whole universes opened. You became, irrevocably, a reader.” –Alberto Manguel

Use Pain

Hey.. Peeps.. :) I dunno, but I just wanted to ink my thoughts about pain. Hundreds of thoughts pass my mind –some turn out to be facebook status, some are saved as draft(s) in my cell phone, some my blog posts and some get lost in oblivion (this is when I long to go in the oblivion and get the words back).

The only thing we can do with pain is to use it. Most of the times, pain indicates the arrival of joy and its pain that makes us value things. Temped to know any example? –Waxing could be the one. LOL. Well, you cannot remember pain. It’s the scar that’s left behind as the legacy of it. Scar is legacy of pain.

If you have an ambiguity of what pain is all about, I will say: “Heavy feeling rising from the middle of your heart, which flows down your eyes. A huge lump in your throat, that makes you feel choked, that mute scream popping your heart out.” C. S. Lewis said –The pain I feel now is the happiness I had before. That's the deal.”

But, how to use pain? Think positive of pain. Like? Like –pain is the sign that you are alive. There are different perspectives of how people take pain as. I am not sure about the pain of flesh, but the pain that runs through heart is definitely experienced by all –and that’s the most common feeling, most familiar one.

It resides somewhere, and it visits us once. We welcome or not, it finds us –and knowingly or unknowingly lets us know the value of joy. It’s something that breaks you down to go on your knees, but it’s you who has to decide to get up and begin again or to lament for the pain and ask for empathy. One certain thing about pain is –it makes us learn something we missed or ignored. Signing out.. may God bless y’all.. :)

  2. Time heals the physical pain but not the mental. When a frayed heart cries in pain over some spoiled aspects of life, such pain lingers till to the grave.

  4. well... one wonders if there were no pain in the world? how would we know real and fake friends and enemies? if there were no pain, how would we know ourself and our God? if there were no pain how would we feel about love and care? and yes the pain of the heart is something that only those can feel who are through it :(
