“At one magical instant in your early childhood, the page of a book—that string of confused, alien ciphers—shivered into meaning. Words spoke to you, gave up their secrets; at that moment, whole universes opened. You became, irrevocably, a reader.” –Alberto Manguel

The Eve

After a long time I saw the sunset in the sky;
felt the wind passing by,
witnessed the birds flying back to the nest;
and I walked the empty streets hoping for the best.

I switched off my phone,
just to be in the realm of my own;
and I took the un-trodden road,
to escape the big town crowd.

Echoes of silence, I perceive;
and I just had a beautiful eve.

Shining dew drops on the grass blades;
looks beautiful until the light fades,
with the bare feet I walk the meadow;
accompanied by my shadow.

I return home with tired soul;
near yet far from my goal,
the Crescent moon holding stars;
relieves all my hidden scars.

All this brings me the joy I believe;
and I just had a beautiful eve.

No Blood For Water

Hey.. Peeps.. :) Remember Rihanna in the smash-hit Umbrella? Of course it was a great composition, great song and Rihanna was awesome in the video dancing in rain with umbrella. Do you think the rain was real? The amount of water used in this 4:18 minutes of song has no count. Retakes, usage of unlimited water till it satisfies the director has no count -who cares?  The number of visitors for this song on YouTube are still adding up.

"Water water everywhere;
and all the board did shrink,
water water everywhere;
not any drop to drink.
-Samuel Tayor Cloeridge
(The Rhyme Of The Ancient Mariner)

Today's episode in Satyamev Jayate (Truth Alone Triumphs) was on Water -Every Drop Counts. The video clips they shared was really moving and inspiring. It was the second last episode of the show, making us to rethink on what we have done. As they say: There is no sorrow on Earth that Heaven cannot heal. -True! Robert Harold Schuller says: A problem is nothing but a decision to be made -I agree.

Article 31 -the constitution of India says: The right to clean and safe water and according to Article 19 -There is right to speak. These are only inked on pages, and locked somewhere -Gawd knows. Still there are areas where people die for water. If it will go on like this then may be another war will be because of water. India is blessed with water, we use to give water to Pakistan as Pakistan is a land-locked country. Still we have to fight for it, pay for it.

There are many shampoo and soap ads in which actors take shower, many songs in which we see our favorite actors dancing and romancing. Remember Paramore's Pressure, BFMV's Tears Don't Fall, Aamir Khan's Zoobie Doobie? -All these were smash-hits and my favorite, but in a way wastage of water. And who can forget Titanic? There should be fine for wasting water or any other resource.

Reminds me few lines by William Wordsworth:
To her fair works did Nature link;
the human soul that through me ran,
and much it grieved my heart to think;
what man has made of man.
-(Lines Written In Early Spring)

Remind the scene: Droplets of water shining and sliding on the blade of grass -beautiful. Rains are beautiful, it completes nature -save it, save Earth. A lake is landscape's most beautiful and expressive feature. It is the Earth's eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature. -quoted Henry David Thoreau.Think!! Flying Back To My Nest

Hey.. Peeps.. :) So its been 10 days I haven't posted here. Okay, did I sound like I am trying to demonstrate how much busy I was? But I guess you wanna know where the hell I was? See, I can read your minds. Being busy cannot be an excuse -its just no new thoughts to ink, no new thing to share.

So I mean now I have something new to share? Um.. yea kinda. Okay so without any dilly dallying here it is: Its I am going home, and am so happy. August first week I'll be home, 6 months- long time. I have planned what will I do at home -I'll be with my family. I'll take my mom to shopping, yes shopping- stop staring (for all my friends who know I hate shopping). Its just I wanna make her shop, 'cause she always had complaints that I never accompany her for shopping.

And there is something for my sister that I shouldn't disclose here 'cause she also comes to visit my blog, out of the blues. I don't wanna miss the expression of surprise on her face when I'll do what I've planned to. And, yes shopping for mom-dad & sis is going on. Feels great to gift your family. Now am a big girl, I understand what people expect from me and what I should do -though I am still bad at selecting fabric items, Lol!

I can bet I'll put on few kgs when I'll be back from home. FYI: I lost 6 kgs after coming to Bangalore, courtesy: PG food. At home mom will be feeding me all my favorite food and I'll be eating like glutton. I'll sleep, eat, meet my friends, go outting with my sister, and do all the things I missed in Bangalore -I'll play with my dad, sleep on my mom's big tummy and plan pranks with my sister.

July 4, 2012 -I booked my air tickets and since then I have been waiting for July to end and August to come, but this July seems to be the longest month ever. -Shit! am so desperate. And yes, I'll move all my songs from PC to my lap top. I am gonna ask my mom dad for my b'day gift and I guess they will gift me whatever I'll ask, if not then I am obstinate enough to make them do as I have always done -that's a secret side of me very less people know about.

So.. am happy! So happy! I am counting days, and it seems not to end. Today is 18, 2 weeks to go. I'll miss my work as well -I know for some it will be the dumbest line. But I love my job, my work and whatever I do for 08:00:00 hrs in office everyday. But taking break from work is also good. Once a year, go some place you've never been before. - quoted Dalai Lama (and my 9 days leave has been approved on the condition that I'll not take such long leave for 1 year, I was so homesick that I accepted this also). -But I am happy! Signing out.. may God bless y'all.. :)

The Matador

A man dressed in red and gold,
in front of the bull with fears, all sold;
as the mighty bull enters the ring,
yellow and magenta cape starts to swing.

Trumpet sounds; he throws a spear at the bulls back,
with the hopes so high, he never lack(s);
at another trumpet he removes his hat,
and makes a bow dedicating the bull’s death.

He dances with the bull,
and the audience there cheers and adore;
he keeps playing on and on,
like a true hero -the Matador*.

He waves a muleta, daring the bull to charge,
both keep eyes locked at each other, open so large;
now he stands at ten feets from the bull,
holding espada to stab at bull’s back to null.

The bull falls and dies,
staring the bull-fighter’s eyes;
and audience cheers the victory of the man,
waving white handkerchiefs at the end of the game.

He is awarded dead bull’s tail or hoof or ears,
people there lift him as he reached the stadium door;
he holds a trophy saying victory against his fears;
like a true hero -the Matador*.
