“At one magical instant in your early childhood, the page of a book—that string of confused, alien ciphers—shivered into meaning. Words spoke to you, gave up their secrets; at that moment, whole universes opened. You became, irrevocably, a reader.” –Alberto Manguel

Two Moons

‘Am gonna drive long tonight;
to a place where I am alone,
I’ll play gothic metal loud;
and turn off my phone.

The rear mirror view shows me traffic;
 gonna drive till it disappears away,
till the city sleeps and lights go dim;
and buy a bottle of whisky on the way.

 So don’t call me and don’t ask me why;
gonna drink till I see two moons in the sky.

Its an awesome weather now;
just wish if it could rain,
so that I can pretend I am crying;
and I cry till my tears drain.

Music is set on loop;
crowd is disappearing in rear mirror,
I guess am close to my destination;
where I could scream and no one to bother.

So don’t call me and don’t ask me why;
gonna drink till I see two moons in the sky.

  1. Shreya,

    Did you? The moment one starts seeing double, one normally falls asleep.

    Take care
