“At one magical instant in your early childhood, the page of a book—that string of confused, alien ciphers—shivered into meaning. Words spoke to you, gave up their secrets; at that moment, whole universes opened. You became, irrevocably, a reader.” –Alberto Manguel

No More Like Before

I can walk alone like before;
'am strong enough to let you go,
I don't feel the way before;
you're no more good to adore,
So I'll throw your pictures on the floor;
I'll leave that room, locking the door.

'cause you are no more like before;
You forgot about the things you swore.

Let it rain, let it pour;
I'll cure my heart; you left so sore,
Yeah 'am gonna fix my heart you tore;
I don't wanna be with you anymore;
I am gonna be alright, I can assure.
I'll leave your memories out my core,

'cause you are no more like before;
You forgot about the things you swore.

~Shreya ♥

  3. A powerful statement of moving on...recognizing that you have changed and no longer accepting things the way they are...but realizing you need to grieve...healing your heart to love again...

  5. Shreya,

    That is the spirit. One who changes in his behaviour does not deserve to be loved and needs to be forgotten.

    Take care

  17. A voice of a strong woman taking control of her life again! I feel like cheering her on ~ hoorayy! :D Nice writing, Shreya! :) x0x

    P.S. ~ I also feel like singing the Gloria Gaynor song now. It's called "I Will Survive"!

    ' Go on, now go
    Walk out the door
    Just turn around now
    'Cause you're not welcome anymore

    I should have changed that stupid lock
    I should have thrown away the key
    If I'd have thought for just one moment
    You'd be back to bother me!

    A great one to listen to if you're not familiar with it :)

  23. Hello.
    It's sad when promises made in the name of love are not kept. The heart will heal with time & you'll be free to love again.
    Nice blog too.
